HALIFAX, Nova Scotia — Rosborough Boats has unveiled its new line of rigid hull inflatable boats, called Rough Water series. According to a press release from the company, the 30-foot prototype reached a top speed of 50 knots, maintained a cruising speed of 42 knots and provided a soft ride in rough conditions.

Although the extra-deep deadrise, inflatable-collar Rough Water series was designed primarily for commercial applications such as search and rescue and Rosborough Boats will introduce the boats to the pleasure and light commercial markets in the spring of 2002. Both 30- and 26-foot models of the craft will be available in stern drive diesel or twin outboard power configurations with a center console or wheelhouse.
